Anaiza Nicole Ordonez

Ever since she was a young child, Anaiza has always been captivated by the magic of stories. Her childhood home was never short on books of every genre. 

This early exposure to literature set the state for a lifelong passion of reading and writing. Her parents often found her in her room, writing simple short stories, even as a child. 

Reading Events

Many people think of reading as a solo activity. But, over the years, Anaiza has found that literature has the power to bring together lively communities. 

She participates in many reading events, including:

• The Miami Book Fair: As the country’s premier literary festival, Anaiza Nicole Ordonez looks forward to this week-long event each November. The street fair brings together hundreds of authors and thousands of book lovers to celebrate their love of literature and to promote education. 
• Online Book Fairs: Anaiza loves participating in virtual reading events that bring together people across the globe to celebrate their love for books. 
• Book Clubs: Anaiza regularly attends her local book club, which has created an amazing literary community in her area. Each week, they gather to discuss their latest reads and insights.
• Online Book Clubs: In addition to her local book club, Anaiza also hosts her own online book club, bringing together book lovers from all over the country. This virtual platform allows for a diverse group to come together and exchange new ideas about the books they read. 
• Book Donations: Anaiza is passionate about promoting literacy. She truly believes in the power of books to inspire and educate the next generation. Her and her book club frequently host drives to donate books to libraries, schools, and community centers. 

As a writer herself, Anaiza Nicole Ordonez also loves to participate in writing events to connect with other authors. Some of these events include:

• NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month): NaNoWriMo is one of Anaiza’s favorite times of the year. In this challenge, authors of all ages around the world try to write an entire novel in only 30 days. This intensive writing period provides a unique challenge to explore new ideas. 
• Writing Workshops and Retreats: Anaiza loves to attend writing workshops, and is working on hosting her own in the near future. These events allow her a unique chance to hone her craft, and collaborate with and learn from other emerging writers. 

Online Writing Communities: Anaiza is active in several online writing spaces where she offers advice, support, and feedback to fellow writers. These platforms allow diverse groups of writers to connect, share experiences, and talk about new trends in literature.
